Visite à la manufacture de la lampe Couqueto

The Couqueto lamp is a piece born of a subtle blend of tradition and contemporary design. Inspired by 19th-century Provençal headdresses, this creation pays tribute to a cultural heritage while embodying a modern vision of lighting.
Made in a factory in the south of France, each Couqueto lamp is the fruit of unique craftsmanship.

The manufacturing process begins with the shaping of the steel wire structure that forms the basis of the lampshade. This delicate framework is designed with great precision to ensure strength and lightness. The craftsmen then cover this structure with a fabric of speckled cotton or dyed natural linen, depending on the model chosen.

This sheathing work requires particular dexterity to ensure that the fabric perfectly matches the shape while diffusing a soft, even light. The inner diffuser, made of translucent plastic also covered in fabric, controls the light to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
Each lamp is meticulously assembled by hand, with each stage closely monitored to guarantee an exceptional level of quality.

Once finished, the lamp is signed with a brass hallmark, symbolizing the uniqueness of each piece and guaranteeing its handcrafted authenticity. Attention to detail, from the choice of materials to the finish, makes Couqueto much more than a simple luminous object: it's a truly sculptural work of art that blends harmoniously into both modern and classic interiors.
